A vanishing horizon.
Half of the beach vanishes.
A dense fog warning leaps onto phone screens.
Blue skies, beachgoers, and rolling waves are swallowed by a misty gray opaque curtain.
Familiar places and features are only revealed when walking blindly toward them. Trusting they’re still there.
Can’t see too far ahead.
Can’t see too far behind.
Can only see the present moment.
And maybe that’s the way life should be.
