Artist Information
Bio
David A. Haughton was born in Philadelphia in 1956 and
moved to Canada in 1991. A self-taught artist, Haughton
has been exhibiting his work for forty years.

Island Paintings III will be his nineteenth solo exhibition in Vancouver, BC. He has also shown in Zurich, Athens, Boston, New York City, Los Angeles and Seattle and his work hangs in over 300 private and corporate collections worldwide.

" Work on these British Columbia island paintings began over a decade ago, but I can trace their true origin back to 1975, voyaging alone for the first time, free camping on a ridge overlooking the Aegean and its many islands. With backpack and by bicycle I explored most of the Greek islands. I am now working my way around those of British Columbia: Quadra Island in particular, but now also Gabriola, Salt Spring and others.” - Haughton
