Artist Information
Bio
Allison Rohland is an internationally-shown artist whose work represents the integration and celebration of the fragmented parts of ourselves. Since 2014, she’s instructed artists with intellectual disabilities and Autism, and been honing her own craft. Her body of work consists of emotive abstracts using bold texture and color through mixed media. Her work has shown internationally as well as on the East and West Coast of the US. She currently works out of her home studio in Big Sur, CA.
Artist Statement
My work explores the integration and celebration of the fragmented parts of ourselves. How can we build a new image or version of self from parts of the past--and learn to love and accept them in a new way?

Each piece is built with building materials to play on that metaphor of creating a new self. Through deep exploration each piece is intuitively created.
