Bio
Born in Ukraine, raised in Chicago, I graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago then joined the National Guard. After that, I spent my entire adult life clawing out time to write and draw while holding down a day-job. Luck has now allowed me to pursue art and writing full-time and I hope to continue this way until my death.
Artist Statement
In my work I like to play with figures, expression, and color. I believe varying materials and approaches to an image eventually creates a stylistic dialogue through which something genuine and unique is created. My end goal is always to convey a mood which the viewer is able to project their own emotional complexities on.
