Artist Statement

For a couple of years now he have been focusing on understanding the environment of German expressionism. In the last decade we had to accept the sad fact that the 20th century simply did not happened. Neither politically nor artistically. Living his life on Holloway Road, London presents itself like a weird time travel hundred years back in the past. Looking at the people around him feels like living in the Weimar Republic or the Victorian London, as if he was living in the Three Penny Opera or, a Dickens novel. After creating mainly conceptual pieces throughout his art career, He could not resist painting with oil on canvas and documenting the dark but colourful world around him.
