Jude Caisley
Bio
Jude Caisley was born and raised in Northumberland, England. She originally trained as a fashion designer and graduated from Newcastle Polytechnic, with a First Class Honours Degree. She worked in the fashion industry for many years before discovering her love for painting.
Jude’s expressive abstract paintings are dynamic, ethereal, full of light, movement and vibrant colour. Working mainly in acrylics, she combines bold and textured gestural marks with areas of subtle blending and intricate detail.
The inescapable beauty of the natural world, music and personal reflection, all influence her work. She paints spontaneously and intuitively, responding to the movement of music. Jude always hopes to captivate, uplift and inspire life to the viewer.
Artist Statement
My abstract paintings are primarily about releasing and reflecting what’s inside through the vehicle of colour and movement, whilst in awe of the Master Creator. It starts with a spontaneous movement, followed by a searching for the beauty, rhythm and intricate details that lies within. A process that allows for many happy accidents filled with grace.
