Nick Freedman is a Geordie living in Hackney.
He gave up his smartphone 5 years ago as he wanted to challenge himself to live differently in the digital society that surrounds us all. He quickly realised that he would need to start carrying around a camera as he no longer had the instant access to photography that his smartphone had previously given him. His mum donated him her old 35mm Pentax K1000 and since them he has taken it with him everywhere. Not having a smartphone to distract him means that he is able to observe and capture seemingly simple shots.
